Adventist Healthcare is hiring a Senior Payroll Specialist. We are currently offering a $5,000.00 Sign-On Bonus to qualified candidate!

Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a Senior Payroll Specialist who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will:

• Process edits in the Kronos Time and Attendance System
• Review and maintain incoming information received from the main Payroll department email box
• Reviews, Processes and Inputs employee tuition reimbursement requests, employee relocation allowances, retroactive pay adjustments, employee deduction refunds and other miscellaneous payroll transactions
• Maintains and processes all court ordered employee garnishments, including responses and releases
• Assists with bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly Federal and State tax payments and filings
• Participates and contributes to Payroll department policy and process improvement initiatives, utilizing company and industry knowledge, as well as state and federal regulations
• Provides customer support to employees and department managers to resolve and payroll related problems or inquiries
• Assists with preparation of annual W-2 wage statements and federal and state filings
• Coordinate and Consults with the Payroll Lead and with members of the Human Resources department to successfully perform its functions.
• Must have a working knowledge of payroll best practices
• Strong knowledge and understanding of federal and state payroll tax regulations
• High mathematical aptitude
• High degree of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to function and thrive in a high volume, fact paced environment
• Willingness to participate in process improvement initiatives and learn new skills

Qualifications Include:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience processing payroll, preferably in a complex/multi-entity or healthcare environment
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience payroll processing with a large size company of 3,000 employees; preferably in a multi-entity or healthcare environment.
• Recent Kronos system experience preferred
• College coursework in Accounting preferred
• CPP preferred, but not required
