Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced HIM Manager who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As an HIM Manager, you will:
• Be primarily responsible for ensuring that clinical documentation is timely,
accurate, complete and compliant with federal, state, accreditation and
organizational requirements, entered in the medical record system in the
appropriate patient account, and available for coding and billing promptly.
• Be fluent and in command of professional HIM regulatory resources including
federal, state, organizational and accreditation requirements; including the
ability to analyze these resources to answer questions completely, be
persuasive, diplomatic.
• Be able to consider incoming information regarding proposed changes up and
downstream to revenue cycle process which impact department workflow,
efficiency, staffing, compliance, expenses and propose various solutions to
accommodate AHC needs.
• Keep the Revenue Cycle Leaders and the Facility CMOs informed proactively
and discern what issues can be handled vs escalated for consideration.

Qualifications include:
•Bachelor or associate degree in Health Information Management, including certification maintenance of RHIT or RHIA credential.
•Three (3) years or more of experience working in an acute hospital HIM department; progression of leadership roles and/or responsibility preferred.
•Fluency in HIPAA knowledge, compliance.
•Exceptional ability to work independently and achieve interval goals for individual and team performance.
•Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with others in spite of differences in perspective, opinion.
•Working knowledge of ICD-10 Coding Guidelines and DRG coding (MS, APR, AP etc)
