The Lourie Center TNP, Adventist HealthCare, is hiring a full-time Social Worker in Hyattsville, Maryland. We are currently offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus to qualified candidates!

We're seeking an experienced Social Worker who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Social Worker, you will:
•Provide direct clinical services to families and children, including assessments and interventions
•Design and implement classroom-based psycho therapeutic services to enhance the quality of the parent-child attachment and to promote the socio-emotional and developmental growth of young children and their families
•Support children in the classroom who may be in crisis. Provides physical support utilizing Nonviolent Crisis Prevention
•Prepare and conducts weekly group therapy to TNP children focused on social-emotional development
•Provide assessment of TNP children and consults with TNP director and/or TNP psychiatrist for clinical emergencies to provide appropriate treatment intervention and coordination with professionals and TNP parents/guardians.
•Conduct the Monthly Parent Coffee group to provide psycho-education and support to TNP parents
Access Protected Health Information on a routine basis. Employee must comply with all privacy standards of the Lourie Center that include HIPAA, COMAR and others - state and federal regulations as written in the Privacy Manual
•Maintain clinical charts, progress notes in compliance with policies and procedures

Qualifications Include:
•Master's degree in social work required
•Licensed LMSW in MD or in the process of obtaining before hire
•Some post-master's experience in providing individual, family and group psychotherapy is desirable
•Experience in working with high-risk families and young children
•Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required
