Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a Histotechnologist who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

The Histotechnologist performs and documents all aspects of routine histology procedures in an efficient and superior manner that may include: Microtomy, Embedding, Tissue Processing, Non-GYN Specimen Preparation, Routine staining, Special Stains.

As a Histotechnologist you will:
•Perform histology laboratory testing, other lab functions and duties for inpatients and outpatients according to Laboratory policy and procedures.
•Perform quality control and maintenance procedures in accordance with policy and participate in Laboratory Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives.
• Performs periodic maintenance and troubleshoots instruments as needed
• Quality control functions
• Immunohistochemistry
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:
• High School diploma or GED required
• AS/BS in science related field preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in pathology environment preferred
• Well-organized, thorough and conscientious approach in performing duties.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to solve day to day conflicts/problems in a professional manner.
• Detailed oriented; Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
