We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Architect to join our media asset management team to define our next generation video processing, authoring and publishing application reference architecture. As a Senior Technical Architect, you will define the applications architecture by creating solution designs for core components of the application. You will work closely with other team members to collaborate on building and maintaining the core application components and its architecture for processing video assets. You will contribute to the direction of the design and development of our evolving ecosystem of high performing SaaS products in Arc XP.

  • Identify and recommend software solutions using best practices to solve technical requirements for video processing, data modeling, API design, messaging, tech stack, etc...
  • Lead, develop and own the software solutions
  • Excellent understanding of AWS based services and management
  • Contribute to building a world-class multi-media platform to enable authoring and delivery of media assets
  • Own the process to design, build, and test web services and APIs.
  • Participate in team agile activities such as story grooming, work estimation, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, etc.
  • Work remotely across multiple time zones
  • Translate complex technical concepts into high-level designs and act as a subject matter expert in software design, architecture, implementation, deployment, and support across our full platform
  • Mentor lower level engineers and keep up to date on trends and innovations in the full stack space.

Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12+ years experience building highly-scalable customer-facing applications.
  • 5+ years of experience with Java, Spring, REST, Service Oriented Architecture, Docker and container services. Knowledge of Kafka, Jenkins is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in NoSQL and document database modeling
  • 2+ years of experience working with ReactJS or other modern front-end technologies
  • Proficiency in at least one server-side programming language.
  • Experienced in building full-stack web-based, distributed, multi-tenant, and multi-tier applications using java and javascript.
  • Experience with event-processing systems and streaming or messaging technologies, such as Kafka, Amazon Kinesis, or SNS.
  • Experience developing against, scaling, and maintaining document and relational databases.
  • Experience with developing Microservices and SaaS products
  • Strong advocate for writing tests.
  • Strong understanding of AWS or other cloud technologies
  • Worked with CI/CD tools with an emphasis on building quality code and speed to market.
  • Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AWS Elemental services
  • Experience building cloud-based web applications.
  • Experience implementing continuous-integration tools and patterns.
  • Experience analyzing application and cloud environment performance.
  • Experience with devops teams that own the full engineering lifecycle.
  • Proficiency working with HTML, CSS and JavaScript in the React JavaScript framework.
