Further, SAA advises College and University faculty and staff on academic policies and procedures, complex student matters, instructional challenges and pedagogical enhancements, curricular development, course scheduling, and integrity and compliance efforts. See https://cehd.gmu.edu/ to learn more about the College.Responsibilities:The Student Enrichment Coordinator, reporting to the Assistant Dean for Student Success, will be responsible for performing the following functions:Create, coordinate, and assess a calendar of high quality virtual and in-person educational, social, cultural, well-being, and recreational programs, activities, and events that focus on overall student development, sense of belonging, and career readiness for undergraduate and graduate students;Organize virtual and in-person events and activities for students to enhance their engagement and connectedness to CEHD faculty, staff, and students;Plan, coordinate, and execute large-scale CEHD student recognition and celebration ceremonies, such as graduation;Develop and facilitate strategic initiatives and programs to improve the experience of students engaged in CEHD affiliated clubs, organizations, and honor societies;Liaise with Housing and Residence Life and CEHD faculty and staff to facilitate the development, promotion, and assessment of CEHD learning communities and assist with programming; andCollaborate with key stakeholders in the execution of responsibilities.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;Experience planning and executing small- and large-scale events and activities;Knowledge of student engagement theory and its connection to retention and degree completion;Demonstrated skills with Microsoft Office suite as well as strong database experience;Demonstrated attention to detail;Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced work environment;Demonstrated customer service skills;Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize; andDemonstrated verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree;Experience working in a higher education environment with diverse populations, including undergraduate and graduate students;Experience planning and executing virtual and in-person events and activities specifically for college student audiences;Demonstrated experience with event planning software;Demonstrated skill in career counseling, student success advising, and/or academic advising; andDemonstrated ability to develop and facilitate academic and/or professional workshops.
