Job Summary: 
Westat is seeking a Product Development and Quality Assurance Coordinator  who will support a capacity building services for large-scale education projects. The candidate should have excellent writing skills, and demonstrated experience across print, digital, and social media content. The position requires someone who is detail-oriented, collaborative, and customer-service oriented. Excellent organizational skills and effective task and time management skills are essential. 

Job Responsibilities:
•    Coordinate product development activities for a busy capacity building project for the US Department of Education.
•    Work with content experts, authors, and creative staff to develop products and resources for our target audience. Products include papers, videos, interactive multimedia, web pages, and presentations.
•    Apply project-specific style guides and ensure products and communications adhere to project style.
•    Conduct substantive editing of resources to ensure logic, clarity, and consistency.
•    Provide quality control of website content before and after posting.
•    Edit newsletters and news blasts and suggest content when appropriate.
•    Edit and format materials for webinars, conferences, and other project initiatives.
•    Support and track quality assurance workflows with project staff.

Basic Qualifications:
•    A bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or related field.
•    4 years of editing experience.

Minimum Qualifications: 
•    High degree of attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
•    Proficient in MS Office products.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Familiarity with 508 compliance.
•    Experience working with education projects at the federal or state level.
