Fiscal Assistant - Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) The George Mason University Office of the Provost is seeking a part-time (25 hours per week-5 hours per day) Continuing and Professional Education (CPE) Fiscal Assistant position to support the Finance and Planning unit, Office of the Provost. This position will report to Fiscal Specialist of Finance and Planning Unit, Office of the Provost.George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.Responsibilities:Internal CPE Fiscal spreadsheets (CPE Open Enrollments, CPE Funds, Open Enrollments with Units, Credit Contract courses with Units):Create new individual course spreadsheets-done after new courses have been established by Partner Managers;Post and maintain all revenue to individual program and course spreadsheet;Post and maintain expenses (purchases and labor costs) to individual program and course spreadsheets;Process manual check and credit card deposits of received payments of registration; reconcile and forward to University personnel for processing. Update the manual credit card file and reconcile the batches monthly;Purchase program materials with P-Card;Future:Invoice for payments received in promise to pay documents (Clients Purchase Order, Letters of Agreements or SF182):Create, send and track invoices;Update Aging Report;Create and send past due invoices;Knowledge of Mason collection process;Review and resolve incomplete/accuracy issues on promise to pay documents;Yearly, establish individual program spreadsheets:Done after new courses have been established by Partner Managers establish individual program fiscal spreadsheets;Establish contract credit spreadsheets; andBe back-up to Fiscal Specialist processing the CPE JVUpload, access to Banner. Required Qualifications:Demonstrated experience in financial processes/administrative support;Ability to expertly organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks with high degree of accuracy;Excel experience;Work independently with organizational and time management skills; andKeep digital back-up of all items processed.
