The mission of Captain Avery Museum is to celebrate the diversity of our community and engage it in activities that explore connections to the Chesapeake Bay through the prism of our historic home and waterfront property.
The Captain Avery Museum seeks an effective leader with exceptional development and fundraising experience for the position of Executive Director. Major responsibilities include fundraising, grant writing, public relations, and community engagement.
Required: Bachelor's degree; 3-5 years development and public relations experience with excellent writing/edition, organizational, and budgeting skills. Ideal candidate will also possess non-profit management experience and hold a keen interest in the Chesapeake Bay region and its history.
