By combining our expert professional technicians, commercial best practices, extensive facilities knowledge and strong commitment to reliable, responsive service, we enable our government clients to achieve consistently high-performance facilities, on-time projects and long-term value.Job Title: Building Automation TechnicianJob Summary: EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Building Automation Technician at Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI).Responsible for the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and repair of the METASYS Building Automation and Energy Management System (Extended Architecture, EA and PMI) at BWI and MTN. Building automation technician will receive general supervision from shift supervisor or other designated authority.** This position is contingent upon contract award. **Responsibilities:Backs up the archive, METASYS system on a monthly basis and assist in setting up the operators and supervisors log.Independently perform such activities as replacement of circuit boards, taking test readings, using tools and common test instruments in the repair of electronic equipment.Independently read, analyze, and interpret electrical and electronic schematics.Operate electronic test equipment and hand tools.Understand, troubleshoot and repair low voltage control circuits. Capable of climbing on and over installed mechanical equipment.Must be able to pickup 50 pounds.Must be physically able to climb ladders.Shall be capable and licensed to drive a motor vehicle.Capable and available to perform 24-hour, standby emergency serviceCapable of communicating clearly in English both in written and verbal forms.Possess adequate sight, hearing and speaking capabilities to maintain a safe working condition and be able to distinguish wire colors and component color codes.Capable of providing training for operations to Administration regular and contractual employees from time to time as conditions dictate.Providing management with detailed monthly job reports to ensure accurate information of job status.Fully knowledgeable about building automation and energy management system at BWI and MTN, and capable of adding, deleting and modifying control/monitoring points to the existing Extended Architecture (EA) METASYS system.Capable of programming, maintaining and managing EA METASYS related database, including but not limited to report generation and documentation of system operation at both BWI and MTN.Capable of assisting the Administration in review process of ongoing and construction projects at BWI and MTN.Perform monthly backup of database for BWI and MTN Building Automation and Energy Management systems.Perform additional duties as determined by the Administration or designated representative.Knowledgeable about Graphic Programming Language (GPL) and able to troubleshoot and write programs.Develop and maintain an equipment Preventive Maintenance tem/Program using MAXIMO.Qualifications: Must have an Associate Degree in Electronic EngineeringTechnology or its equivalent and at least five (5) years of experience with METASYS, Building Automation System and a minimum of two (2) years of Extended Architecture experience.Must have working knowledge of National Electric Code, the underwriter's rules for electrical wiring and installation, state regulations, and standard practices.Must have the ability to write, comprehend, and execute written and oral instructions, in English, and perform basic arithmetic calculations.We offer our employees a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package and are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
