Community Connections is a dynamic mental health agency recognized nationally for innovative programming and commitment to interrupting the cycle intergenerational transmission of trauma by providing high-quality, clinical mental health services focused on the strengths of each individual child, adolescent and family. The Community Support Specialist is a mental health worker who will serve children, adolescents and families who often benefit from community-based services.
  • Mental Health Worker Responsibilities:
    • Manage a caseload of children and adolescents who have a diagnosed mental health disorder and/or emotional difficulty
    • Provide community-based services focused on symptom management, family cohesion, and accessing resources
    • Collaborate with family members, school staff, and providers to coordinate best treatment practices
  • Mental Health Worker Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • One year of experience working with children or adolescents with serious mental illnesses and their families
    • Pass Community Connections' agency background check
    • Have a personal car and clean driving record
    • Be comfortable transporting clients in your vehicle
