    Specialized Experience for the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Service.
    Specialized experience for this position includes:
    Experience as a team lead or manager with
    - Experience working at a bank, investment fund, or institution that performs financial or economic analysis; AND
    - Experience working in international financial market sectors, such as sovereign debt, corporate debt, foreign exchange markets, equity markets, credit markets, commodities, or mortgage market; AND
    - Experience conducting market, financial, or economic analyses and relating them to public policy or international relations; AND
    - Experience leading, as well as independently drafting, analysis and studies for senior decision makers, investors, and upper-level management; AND
    - Experience mentoring and training junior team members.

    Specialized Experience for the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service.
    Specialized experience for this position includes:

    - Experience working at a bank, investment fund, or institution that performs economic or financial analysis; AND
    - Experience working in international financial market sectors, such as sovereign debt, corporate debt, foreign exchange markets, equity markets, credit markets, commodities, or mortgage market, AND
    - Experience conducting market, financial, or economic analyses and relating them to public policy or international relations; AND
    - Experience independently drafting analysis and studies for senior decision makers or investors; AND
    - Experience mentoring and training junior team members.

    Specialized Experience for the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

    -Experience working on a trading floor or portfolio management in one or several asset classes, such as sovereign debt, corporate debt, foreign exchange (FX) markets, equity markets, credit markets, mortgage market, or derivatives; OR
    -Experience conducting market, financial, or economic analyses and relating it to public policy. AND
    -Experience communicating clearly and succinctly in written and verbal form such analyses and studies to decision makers or investors.


    Education Requirements:  

    Applicants for this position must meet the following

    BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
    A. Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university that met all of that institution's requirements for a bachelor's or higher degree with a major in economics, that included at least 21 semester hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus. OR
    B. A combination of education and experience -courses equivalent to a major in economics, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. 

    Education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
    - A one year probationary period may be required.
    - Must successfully complete a background investigation.

    - Obtain and use a Government-issued charge card for business-related travel.
    - File a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report within 30 days of appointment and annually from then on, if required.
