    You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:

    BASIC REQUIREMENTS: (All grade levels)
    You must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research,  mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics.  At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.

    In addition to the above, you must meet the requirements described below:

    GS-14 LEVEL: You must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes professional knowledge of mathematical methods and scientific principles in order to accomplish complex studies, develop a variety of mathematical models and provide management with viable solutions and recommendations; Extensive knowledge and skill of multivariate techniques and pertinent mathematical, simulation, economics, econometric and statistical operations research techniques to use in the context of government policy decisions. To be qualifying your experience must be sufficient to demonstrate an expert knowledge of strategic thinking methods and problem-solving techniques and analytics that exhibit a thorough understand and approach to resolving fundamental business problems; Comprehensive knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury Regulations, administrative provisions, OMB, Treasury regulations and procedures, and the IRM; and Extensive experience using ADP equipment and statistical software applications such as Statistical Analysis System (SAS), Statistical Product in Service Solution (SPSS), database and spreadsheet programs. Also, demonstrate an ability or experience to motivate and lead efforts/teams comprised of peer or junior team members.

    - The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

    One (1) FT Position in Research, Applied Analytics & Statistics (RAAS), Strategy Business Solutions (Business Performance Analytics) Division located in either of the following locations: Washington, DC or  St. Paul, MN

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
