To qualify at the GS-14, you must have at least four (4) years post Juris Doctorate professional legal experience in employment law and litigation. Litigation experience and strong writing skills are required. The successful applicants should have experience handling federal sector employment litigation matters before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and/or Merit Systems Protection Board. At least two years of the required professional legal experience must be at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

To qualify at the GS-15, you must have at least five (5) years post Juris Doctorate professional legal experience in employment law and litigation. Litigation experience and strong writing skills are required. The successful applicants should have substantial experience handling federal sector employment litigation matters before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and/or Merit Systems Protection Board. At least two years of the required professional legal experience must be at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the required qualifications listed above, the ideal candidate will have experience: (1) providing the full spectrum of legal services concerning employment law issues, including advising on federal personnel regulations and equal employment opportunity programs; (2) utilizing his/her extensive knowledge of federal personnel regulations to provide legal advice to senior officials; and (3) providing written guidance, policies and procedures concerning federal personnel administration and operations and equal employment opportunity programs.

Candidates must have a Juris Doctorate Degree from a law school. This information must be annotated in your resume.
