ProCard Analyst - Shared Financial Services Center

The ProCard and Financial Analyst serves as a ProCard and Financial Analyst in the University Services shared financial services center. This position will work with the Senior Business Officer to provide accurate and timely management of procurement card transactions and reconciliations for card holders within the shared service center's centralized ProCard program.  This work includes detailed analysis of transactions to ensure that they are appropriate and within policy.  The position will work with the service center team to ensure that transactions are posted to the correct work tags and spend categories in Paymentnet within the billing period.  The ProCard and Financial Analyst will be a GU Campus Financial Reporter in GMS and will assist the Senior Finance Officer in preparing financial reports on a cost center, departmental, and campus wide level including budget templates and files. The incumbent will perform departmental and campus wide reconciliations as needed and will work with departments and the Senior Finance Officer on evaluating the results and identifying and resolving any issues noted. Operates in a fast-paced multi-faceted environment.  Individual must be able to prioritize and be flexible in adjusting the focus when needed.  Long hours and weekend hours will be required during peak business periods (budget preparation, Fiscal close, etc.). Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for providing friendly and efficient service that is solutions oriented to all customers whom it serves and must be able to work as a team with all Business Managers, and Business and Finance Officers within the unit. 
  • Works with the Senior Finance Officer, Senior Business Manager, and Business Officers to ensure that all financial documentation is accurate, organized, and processed timely and within University and auditing guidelines. 
  • Works closely with the shared service center Senior Business Officer, Business Managers and Business Officers to manage transactional ProCard work.  Position will work with Senior Finance Officer on financial reporting needs.
  • Update and review CBO ProCard log daily for missing information.
  • Contact cardholders for receipts and business purpose according to the ProCard policy.
  • Assist in allocation of expenses in PaymentNet.
  • Works to address cardholders who repeatedly fail to meet deadlines or provide inadequate documentation.
  • Works to educate users on policy and proper card use.
  • Works with Senior Business Officer and Internal Audit to identify spending activity that requires further evaluation. 

Requirements

  • College degree preferred
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Business courses or accounting experience preferred
  • Detail oriented
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Required to learn and use Workday Financials and PJMC Paymentnet system
  • Solutions orientation and attention to detail
  • Customer service focus and solutions oriented
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
