    This is a Temporary Appointment, initial appointment is not to exceed (NTE) 1 year. This appointment may be extended an additional year at management’s discretion.

    A trial period may be required.

    This position is ELIGIBLE for telework; additional criteria will be required (e.g., supervisory approval).

    This is a BARGAINING unit position.

    Relocation expenses will not be paid.

    To be minimally qualified for this position applicants must have a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute with 3 or fewer error based on a five minute sample.  In Addition applicants must possess the specialized experience outlined below.

    Specialized Experience: For the GG-06, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes:

    Typing and proofreading correspondence. Composing non-technical routine correspondence.  Tracking both in-coming & outgoing correspondence.  Scheduling meetings, answering phones, responding to routine inquires.   Preparing time and attendance records.   Preparing conference registrations, travel orders, and vouchers.  Coordinating activities with other staff.  Experience developing and maintaining filing systems, as well as customizing electronic documents for ease of management.  Filing and retrieving documents.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies,

    Education cannot be substituted at this grade level.

    You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

    Your resume, optional cover letter and supporting documentation will be reviewed to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications for the position.     • Knowledge of travel regulations procedures.
    • Knowledge of office automation tools (MS Office).
    • Knowledge of SharePoint and interest/ability in becoming a SharePoint Administrator
